Declaration of Independence(or End of the LOLs)

This was sent to me by a friend of mine who received it from someone else:
"It has been very interesting following Ty's seeming discord and subsequent disconnect with the internet. But I am sure I am missing something. I reviewed his older posts, his past sites .....all that stuff but I still do not understand what exactly is going on. What ever it is I hope it is good because I will miss his daily input into the world at large."
This came overnight from another close friend:
"whatever it is you're doing, I love what you're doing. I don't know what it all really means to you, where it comes from, but I think I can feel that its genuine, and that can only be a good thing.

remind me sometime to tell you my coveting theory. I think it might be relevant to some of the changes you're making.

or maybe not."
Also this from yet another dear friend:
"If you'd OPEN YOUR COMMENTS you'd know [that your photo is gorgeous].

Although honestly, I like emailing you better, so nevermind on comments."
And this from yet another:
"Wha happened?"

What's missing? What happened? Nothing. Everything. Answers? Everyone has their very own answers to all of the questions already; to my work. It's Rorschach. I never try to overtly guide people through my work (with too many captions or obvious connections or simple explanations). I drop breadcrumbs, tag walls, and sometimes intentionally misdirect. Some paths are obvious, others require investigation and mouse-overs. It is what you make it.

Why?

middlespace is the interpretive manifestation of thoughts and ideas
as expressed within the context of personal or intimate experiential journeys

I've been saying this for years.

I have my experiential journey. You have yours. It is not my role to walk you down my paths or explain all of my worlds anymore. It's all there. That would be frustrating and futile since I cannot experience or interact as you. I can only show you my work and you can either react or not. It exists because that's what I do. I'm just lucky that i can do it and even luckier that you interact with it.

Sometimes I can (and do) remind you of how it works best. Generally that involves the word "headphones." But I try not to be too directive of your experiences.

One thing begins as another thing ends. My pockets are empty.

Comments? I don't know. Maybe soon. Maybe not. I don't know. Back with words Monday. Maybe I'll have some photographs up this weekend. Happy 233rd.
"The second day of July, 1776, will be the most memorable epoch in the history of America. I am apt to believe that it will be celebrated by succeeding generations as the great anniversary festival. It ought to be commemorated as the day of deliverance, by solemn acts of devotion.... It ought to be solemnized with pomp and parade, with shows, games, sports, guns, bells, bonfires, and illuminations, from one end of this continent to the other, from this time forward forever more."

- John Adams

Oh, and this from a famous boutique Web site (who said my discord and disconnect wasn't self-serving?):
