Resources are expended on the unnecessary
and on the unrelenting pursuit of the meaningless

Yet value and satisfaction can be found
in the meaningless and in the unnecessary
This the essence of luxury and this is
the basis of art and spiraling madness

What is justified as meaninglessly unnecessary
may very well be exactly what is
meaningfully necessary for sanity and survival
You know what they say about one man’s trash

We should all have the great fortune to unrelentingly
pursue our personal necessary and meaningful

Now that I think of it I may be feeling
a certain satisfaction having spent this time
thinking about how my time is best spent
