and carrying ever-increased importance

Warm and calm
Quiet nearly silent (muffled)
Dark yet blinding
Clarity more vivid than remembered
We are here
Again
Welcome
Again
Now we must rise before drowning
But before we leave this bottom
We must vow
Make certain promises to ourselves
for what we bring
to the surface this turn
The rise to the surface
After touching the bottom in a
“The Deeper You Go” paradigm
where hard abrupt solid and sudden
are never misnomers or punches pulled
Ascent becomes the most vital
Essential and necessary force
Pulling toward a glimmering sun far above
(To) a new planet perhaps yet undiscovered
Breaking surface like bullets through linen
